Hackathons Galore

Autumn is the season for hackathons, and there are not one, not two, but three exciting hackathons lined up. Get ready to unleash your creativity and problem-solving skills!

The NASA International Space Apps Challenge is happening on Oct. 6-8, 2023

On October 6-8, 2023, NASA and a global group of space agencies invite thousands of makers, builders, artists, coders, entrepreneurs, designers, and storytellers to participate in the 2023 NASA International Space Apps Challenge. By using NASA’s free and open data and Space Agency Partner data and expertise, Space Apps teams will develop solutions to challenges the world is facing on Earth and in space over the course of 2 days.

Hydrogen X Future Hackathon

From October 6th to 8th, the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL), located at Ķengaraga Street 8, collaborating with leading Latvian companies and organisations, will host the international “Hydrogen X Future Hackathon”. The event will be dedicated to the currently relevant topic of hydrogen and renewable energy resources. The grand prize for the hackathon is €3000.

Join the hackathon and shape the future while having the unique opportunity to collaborate on innovative energy solutions with esteemed partners such as Latvenergo AS, Riga International Airport, the Freeport of Riga Authority, and the Green Tech Cluster Latvia.

THE RACCOONS HACKATHON

We are inviting anyone who is a high school or university student over the age of 16, from any country, regardless of skills and background, to participate in the Raccoons Hackathon that will take place from October 20th to 22nd of October at House of Nature, University of Latvia.

The Raccoons is an innovation and building marathon, where participants are invited to come build their ideas or come up with a solution for an idea under one of the proposed challenges in 48h. Particularly useful will be the workshops about various technologies and coding, especially for beginners, to grow interest in these skills. The need for digital skills among young adults is increasingly important, in order to encourage the development of new ideas and understanding of problems among the next generations.

A huge shoutout to The Ministry of Economics and Riga Investment and Tourism Agency - the Raccoons Hackathon wouldn't be possible without your support!
